This CD is 25 years in the making. It began in 1975 when I started writing songs about Vermont. Several of the tracks were written in the 1970s and others in the 1980s.The songs are about real people in real situations. The original album was recorded in 1989 at Quartz Recordings in Bethel, Vermont by Spencer Lewis who also contributes violin on several cuts. It was released as a cassette album that year.I recorded two additional tracks for this CD "re-release" at my digital studio in E. Calais, Vermont. Throughout I play guitar, bass, mandolin, and harmonica and of course, sing.
Song Titles:Chorus:

Verse 1:
I made the scene at Woodstock, splashed in the mud, took off all my clothes,
and I got in that movie, and you can see my butt, please don't tell my mom cause she still doesn't know.
I marched in DC to get out of Vietnam, got arrested and thrown into jail,
and I thought I was a goner when they slammed the door on me,
but another peacenik got me out on bail.
I can still remember all the good years on the farm,
when we stoked the coal in the Round Oak stove to keep the old house warm
we'd help in the kitchen, Pa would milk the cows,
those were the best of years, but they're gone forever now
Chorus:
And there's stirrin' in the old Vermont hills
and you can hear the rustle of those dollar bills
they're cuttin' up the mountainside for smoother downhill trails
while the good old farm that Papa built when for land development sales....
